Simple Avisa Schanz pins are made of 316 LV stainless steel. The Schanzes are self-drilling and they are available in different diameters (2mm, 2.5 mm, 4mm, and 5mm) and lengths (100mm, 120mm, 150mm, 200mm, and 250mm

The Avisa coated Schanzes are made of 316 LV stainless steel. They have the same size as Avisa simple Schanzes but the threaded part of schanz pins was coated with the Silver/Flour-Hydroxyapatite.  Coating procedure has been done in a collaboration between Avisa Medical Innovators of East Company and Orthopedic Research Center of Mashhad University of Medical Sciences.
